The football association of Malawi is expected to decide the fate of Tigers Football Club technical director, Robin Alufandika, who was convicted of match-fixing at the Blantyre Magistrate's court.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau started probing Alufandika in 2006 after being tipped that the veteran administrator had attempted to bribe Eagle Beak's players to throw a match. The police funded football club has since been disbanded. Alufandika then a Mighty Wanderers official is said to have offered K30,000 to three Eagle Beaks players to lose a match against the Nomads. He was subsequently fined K100,000 for the offence which he duly paid.
